The Theatre was founded on the guiding principle of bringing entertainment to all ages, all classes, and all tastes. "Performances without limitations or judgement" is the primary motto within the establishment.

Its bombastic grand opening caused quite an outcry, particularly among the elite who usually expected a certain sense of decorum and the reserved natured displayed by similar venues. However, the reviews showed that the audience loved it, helped by the cheaper price and more accommodating space. Making the performance accessible to more groups of people allowed an influx of new faces both in the gallery and on the stage itself.

While some acts are still catered towards the elite class such as operas and dramatic plays, many are more generally appealing. Musical performances from all manner of genres, circus acts featuring feats of strength and acrobatics, or even talent shows generally open to the public are common attractions, with a wide appeal to as many patrons as possible. Most performances are also paired with meals, making a unique experience that commonly feels more casual than clandestine.

The general public has accepted The Theatre and its eccentricities, but there are those amongst the upper crust that find the entire operation unsavory. There has long been tension between the royal family and the establishment in particular, although no complaints or accusations have been formally lodged.
