Royale - The Capital City

Royale is the capital city of the Northern Neeco Federation (NNF). It was established nearly 300 years ago by the Faccian family, using it as a major trading port surrounded by furtile land.

When the NNF was formed over a hundred years later, the Faccian family used its power and influence to make Royale the capital, consolidating power further by establishing the royal family. King Ricard was the first to sit on the throne, with castle construction being completed shortly after the NFF's founding.

The city was built primarily on the eastern bank of Slasher's Bay, while the royal castle and a historical district was established on the western edge.

As the city has grown, the eastern districts have become bustling communities filled with skyscrapers, warehouses, and attractions and amenities for the general populace. The Court district (sometimes just referred to as the "Royal" district) on the western bank has grown into an area for the elite and wealthy to visit and leisure, retaining the historical feel of days gone by.

While the royal family resides in the castle atop a hill overlooking the Court district, they are primarily a figurehead at this point with very little real power outside of their social circle. They are still revered and respected by the general populace and maintain an air of dignity and grace, commonly attending large events and galas for charity.

The Faccians are all pure-bred felines and any that mingle outside of the standard relationships are spurned and often stripped of any royal titles they may have.
